Tucson - A Soft Touch of Natural Calm

Bring a sense of gentle harmony into your living space with this hand-woven wool rug, featuring a repeating geometric motif in soft green tones.

The Tucson rug offers a tactile and grounding experience, crafted to bring a sense of natural comfort to your home. Its surface provides a gentle warmth underfoot, making it a perfect addition to living rooms or bedrooms where you want to create a cosy and inviting atmosphere.

Woven from high-quality wool with a sturdy cotton foundation, this piece is designed to stand the test of time. The natural fibres offer inherent durability and sound-absorbing qualities, helping to soften the acoustics of your room while adding a layer of comfort to hard flooring surfaces.

This versatile rug is fully compatible with underfloor heating, allowing you to enjoy the warmth of your home without compromise. Its construction ensures that it sits flat and stable, providing a reliable and practical foundation for your interior styling.

As a product from our core collection, this rug reflects our commitment to reliable quality and timeless design. Originating from India, it is crafted with care to ensure it meets the practical needs of modern living while maintaining a focus on natural materials and thoughtful construction.

Design

The design features a clean, repeating geometric motif set against a soft green background. The light green accents create a subtle contrast that feels balanced and calm, making it easy to integrate into a variety of spaces.

With its clear, intentional pattern, this rug offers a visual focal point without overwhelming your decor. The simplicity of the shapes paired with the natural colour palette creates a look that is both modern and grounded.

Each Tucson rug is meticulously hand-woven by skilled artisans in India. This traditional technique requires immense focus and patience, as each row of wool is carefully interlaced with the cotton foundation to create a uniform and durable structure.

The creation of a single rug involves many hours of dedicated human effort. By choosing a hand-woven piece, you are supporting a craft that values the precision of the human hand over the speed of automated machinery, resulting in a product with character and depth.

Because of the complexity of the weaving process, the time required to complete each piece is significant. This investment of labour ensures a level of quality and resilience that is difficult to replicate, providing you with a beautiful, lasting item for your home.

Wool is a fantastic natural fibre with many benefits, it is durable and hard-wearing, which means that a rug made from wool can be used for several generations and maintain its quality. They are an excellent choice for keeping your rooms warm during the cold winter months and can reduce noise from everyday life. The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.

20% Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Avoid hoovering directly over the fringes, as the suction and brushes can catch the threads and cause damage.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
We recommend using an anti-slip mat with this rug, as color migration may occur onto light-colored floors.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Cleaning instructions

Do this

Spot clean only.
Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.

Avoid this
