Solveig - A Touch of Calm for Your Floor

Bring cosy warmth and a soft feel to your home with the Solveig rug, crafted from 100% cotton with a tactile hand-woven finish.

Introduce a comforting layer of warmth and a soft feel to your hallway or living space with the Solveig runner.

Designed to bring a calm atmosphere to daily life, this piece adds natural texture and gentle sound absorption underfoot.

Crafted from 100% cotton, the rug offers a pure and pleasant surface that feels welcoming with every step.

The natural fibres provide a breathable quality that suits everyday living in any busy room.

Built for modern convenience, this runner is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems, allowing warmth to pass through freely.

Its reversible design also lets you flip the rug over to help spread wear evenly and extend its useful life.

Originating from India, this piece is made with traditional skill and care.

It carries the OEKO-TEX certification as a trusted sign that the textiles have been tested for harmful substances, giving you peace of mind at home.

Design

The design features a repeating pattern of neat diamond motifs arranged in clear rows from end to end.

The geometric layout creates a balanced and orderly visual rhythm, bringing a sense of quiet structure to your floor space.

Rendered in a gentle palette of beige and white, the colours work together to create a calm and neutral mood.

This versatile combination suits scandinavian interiors easily, adding subtle pattern and texture without overwhelming the surrounding room.

The Solveig runner is carefully hand-woven by skilled artisans who bring generations of knowledge to the craft.

Each piece takes considerable human effort and time to produce, resulting in a durable flatwoven structure that machine manufacturing simply cannot replicate.

Working on traditional looms, weavers pass the cotton threads methodically back and forth to build the neat geometric pattern.

Creating a runner of this size requires steady hands and patience, taking several days of dedicated work from start to finish.

100% Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.

Care & Fair

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Care instructions

Do this

Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.

Avoid this

Do not wash
Do not bleach.
Do not tumble dry.
Do not iron.
