Sigrid - A Soft Foundation for Daily Life

Bring warmth and tactile comfort to your floor with the Sigrid runner, crafted from 100% wool for a cosy feel underfoot.
Experience the natural warmth and gentle comfort the Sigrid runner brings to your hallway or living space.
Crafted from 100% wool, this piece offers a soft and tactile surface that feels pleasant underfoot while helping to absorb sound in busy areas of the home.
Designed with practicality in mind, the rug is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems, allowing warmth to pass through naturally so your floors stay comfortable throughout colder months.
Originating from India, this piece reflects traditional craft skills passed down through generations.
The natural wool fibres provide dependable durability for everyday living while maintaining a welcoming look in your home.
You can enjoy peace of mind knowing this rug meets certified safety and ethical standards, being produced under responsible conditions that care for both workers and the environment.

Design

The Sigrid runner features a structured geometric pattern with recurring blocks of colour arranged in an orderly rhythm along the length of the rug.
Thin dark stripes intersect the composition, creating a balanced grid effect that feels both grounded and engaging.
As a flatwoven kilim-inspired piece, it carries on a long-standing tradition of flat textiles known for their clean lines and graphic appeal.
The colour palette combines soft green tones with lively accents of pink and dark grey, creating a fresh yet balanced look.
This combination suits modern interior styles nicely, adding a gentle touch of colour and pattern to hallways, kitchens, or bedrooms without overwhelming the room.
The Sigrid runner is carefully hand woven by skilled artisans in India, a process that requires patience, precision, and traditional expertise.
Because each piece is crafted by hand, artisans spend several days looping and beating the natural wool threads to achieve a sturdy and even flatwoven structure.
This human-led method of creation means that skilled hands shape every detail of the rug from start to finish.
The careful handling of the wool yarns ensures a reliable finish that mass-produced alternatives simply cannot replicate.

80% Wool

Wool is a fantastic natural fibre with many benefits, it is durable and hard-wearing, which means that a rug made from wool can be used for several generations and maintain its quality. They are an excellent choice for keeping your rooms warm during the cold winter months and can reduce noise from everyday life. The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.

20% Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.

We are proud to be part of the organization CARE & FAIR. Their mission is to improve the living conditions of carpet weavers in India and their families through education and health

Care & Fair

Maintenance

  • To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
  • Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
  • If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
  • Avoid hoovering directly over the fringes, as the suction and brushes can catch the threads and cause damage.
  • Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

  • For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
  • Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
  • As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
  • Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
  • We recommend using an anti-slip mat with this rug, as color migration may occur onto light-colored floors.
  • Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Cleaning instructions

Do this
  • Spot clean only.
  • Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
  • We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
  • For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
Avoid this
  • Do not wash
  • Do not bleach.
  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Do not iron.
