Beyond its visual appeal, this rug is built for everyday life. We take pride in the origin of our rugs, and this piece is hand-tufted by skilled artisans in India. By choosing this rug, you are supporting traditional craftsmanship that values both the maker and the final product, ensuring you receive a high-quality item for your home.

Design

The design of the Precious rug features a bold, artistic pattern that draws inspiration from traditional motifs. Its vibrant red background serves as a canvas for a lively mix of colours, creating a focal point that is both balanced and eye-catching.

The intricate details are harmoniously arranged, offering a visual richness that feels both lively and grounded. It is a piece that invites conversation and adds a layer of depth to your interior, perfectly suited for those who appreciate artistic flair.

This rug is carefully hand-tufted by skilled artisans who bring the vibrant design to life through a dedicated process. The technique involves punching individual strands of wool through a sturdy cotton foundation, creating a dense and durable pile that feels substantial and soft.

The creation of a rug of this size is a labour-intensive task that requires patience and precision. Artisans spend significant time ensuring each section of the pattern is correctly executed, reflecting a level of human effort that simply cannot be replicated by machinery.

Because each rug is made by hand, it possesses a unique character and soul that machine-made alternatives lack. This human touch ensures that your rug is not just a floor covering, but a crafted piece of art that brings genuine warmth and depth to your living space.

80% Wool

Wool is a fantastic natural fibre with many benefits, it is durable and hard-wearing, which means that a rug made from wool can be used for several generations and maintain its quality. They are an excellent choice for keeping your rooms warm during the cold winter months and can reduce noise from everyday life. The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.

20% Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
You may notice some shedding on your rug - this is completely normal and a sign of its high-quality natural fibres. The shedding will gradually lessen over time and does not affect the rug’s quality or lifespan. Regular hoovering with gentle suction and occasional brushing will help manage loose fibres and keep your rug looking beautiful for years to come.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Cleaning instructions

Do this

Spot clean only.
Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.

Avoid this

Do not wash
Do not bleach.
Do not tumble dry.
Do not iron.
