Moderna Flat - A Burst of Colour for Your Home

Bring a vibrant energy to your living space with this hand-woven wool rug. Featuring a striking orange base with pink accents, it offers a clean, modern aesthetic that feels both warm and inviting underfoot.

The Moderna Flat rug is a beautiful addition to any room, offering a tactile experience that combines natural warmth with a clean, contemporary design. Crafted from wool, this rug provides a soft yet durable surface that is perfect for high-traffic areas in your home.

Beyond its visual appeal, this rug is highly functional and designed for modern living. It is fully compatible with underfloor heating, ensuring that your space remains cosy and comfortable throughout the colder months.

The inherent qualities of the wool ensure natural sound absorption, helping to create a calmer and more peaceful environment. Its low-profile construction makes it a versatile choice, fitting easily under doors and furniture while maintaining a sleek appearance.

As a product from India, this rug reflects a long tradition of textile expertise. We ensure that our production processes remain transparent and responsible, supporting the artisans who bring these beautiful pieces to life.

Design

The design is defined by its bold, single-coloured orange field, which provides a vibrant pop of colour to any interior. A contrasting pink border at each end adds a playful yet sophisticated detail that frames the piece beautifully.

With its minimalist aesthetic, this rug works well in a variety of settings, from modern living rooms to bright bedrooms. The clean lines and uniform colour make it an easy choice for those looking to add a focal point without overwhelming their existing decor.

This rug is carefully hand-woven by skilled artisans, a process that requires patience and precision. Each piece is crafted on a traditional loom, where the wool is woven into a cotton foundation to ensure structural integrity and longevity.

The creation of a hand-woven rug is a time-intensive endeavour, with artisans dedicating significant effort to achieve the consistent texture and precise finish seen in the final product. This human touch is what gives the rug its unique character and ensures it stands up to daily use.

By choosing a hand-woven item, you are supporting traditional craftsmanship. The skill involved in maintaining even tension throughout the weaving process is significant, resulting in a durable and well-made addition to your home.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.
