Maronti - The Calm of Coastal Tones

Bring gentle texture and calm to your home with the round Maronti rug, crafted from natural jute with a soft blue striped design.
Introduce a grounded, tactile feel to your living space with the Maronti rug.
Designed with a convenient round shape, it works wonderfully under a reading chair or as a soft landing spot in a hallway.
Crafted from 100% natural jute fibres, this piece offers a robust texture underfoot that brings warmth and quiet character to your rooms.
This rug is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems, allowing you to enjoy cosy warmth throughout your home during cooler months.
Proudly made in India, each rug reflects traditional hand-woven techniques passed down through generations, bringing authentic craftsmanship directly into your daily life.

Design

The Maronti rug features a continuous concentric circle pattern that draws the eye toward the centre in a gentle spiral.
The rhythmic alternation of dark blue and natural tones creates a harmonious visual movement, bringing a relaxed rhythm to the floor.
The rich colour palette combines deep blue with warm organic jute hues, suiting rustic and coastal-inspired interiors alike.
It creates a calm, grounded atmosphere that anchors your furniture while keeping the room feeling light and open.
The Maronti rug is entirely hand-woven by skilled artisans who carefully interlace natural jute fibres to create its distinct circular pattern.
This traditional craft requires patience, steady hands, and precise control over tension to ensure a uniform shape and flat surface.
Creating a piece of this scale takes several days of dedicated human labour.
The meticulous hand-weaving process gives the rug its durable structure and organic texture, making each item a unique piece of home textile craftsmanship.

90% Jute

Jute is a natural material that consists of a long, soft and shiny plant fibre that can be spun into coarse and strong threads. Jute rugs are known for their natural texture, which makes them durable and highly resistant to wear and tear. They also have a higher sound insulation effect than for example synthetic rugs. Jute rugs are a sustainable option since they can be recycled and are biodegradable. The material is sensitive to moisture, therefore jute rugs should only be used indoors or outdoors under a roof.

10% Polyester

Polyester is a popular synthetic fibre used in the textile industry thanks to its durability, lightness, and resistance to stains and moisture. Polyester rugs are typically durable, making them suitable for high-traffic areas. They have a nice sheen that gives a luxurious and soft impression to the room.

Care & Fair

We are proud to be part of the organization CARE & FAIR. Their mission is to improve the living conditions of carpet weavers in India and their families through education and health

Care & Fair

Maintenance

  • To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
  • Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
  • If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
  • Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

  • Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
  • As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
  • Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
  • The rug can bleach or change colour if exposed to direct sunlight; therefore, it is important to avoid placing the rugs in direct sunlight.
  • The rugs are sensitive to moisture, therefore they should only be used indoors or outdoors under a roof.
  • Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Care instructions

Do this
  • Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
  • For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
Avoid this
  • Do not wash
  • Do not bleach.
  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Do not iron.
  • Do not dry clean.
