Handloom - A Quiet Grounding

Bring a sense of calm to your home with this round, handloom-woven rug, featuring a soft greige tone that grounds any room with subtle warmth.
This round rug offers a soft and welcoming foundation for your home, crafted from wool to bring natural warmth and comfort underfoot. The gentle greige tone blends easily into your existing decor, creating a peaceful atmosphere in bedrooms, living spaces, or reading corners.
With a thickness of 14 mm, the pile provides a cosy feel while remaining practical for everyday use. The low-profile surface is easy to maintain and fits comfortably under most furniture, making it a versatile choice for busy households.
Designed with modern living in mind, this piece is fully compatible with underfloor heating, ensuring your floors stay warm and inviting during colder seasons. Its circular shape helps soften the sharp lines of a room, creating a more balanced and harmonious layout.
Crafted in India, this piece represents a long tradition of textile making. The natural wool fibres are inherently resilient, helping the rug retain its beauty and structure over time with simple, regular care.

Design

The design features a clean, single-coloured surface in a neutral greige shade, offering a minimalist aesthetic that lets the texture speak for itself. Faint horizontal variations run across the circular field, showing the natural beauty of the handloom process without any distracting patterns or borders.
This versatile colour palette of greige and light grey creates a calm, balanced mood that suits a variety of contemporary interiors. The round shape is ideal for defining smaller seating areas or adding visual interest to square rooms.
This rug is crafted using the traditional handloom technique, a process that requires great skill and patience. Working on a manual loom, artisans weave the fibres together to create a dense, uniform pile that is both beautiful and durable.
A handloom piece of this size takes several weeks of dedicated work to complete. Every step of the process relies on the weaver's eye and hand coordination, resulting in a unique character that machine-made alternatives cannot replicate.
By choosing a handloom rug, you are supporting traditional craftsmanship in India. The human touch involved in the weaving process ensures a high-quality finish that brings lasting value and warmth to your living space.

80% Wool

Wool is a fantastic natural fibre with many benefits, it is durable and hard-wearing, which means that a rug made from wool can be used for several generations and maintain its quality. They are an excellent choice for keeping your rooms warm during the cold winter months and can reduce noise from everyday life. The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.

20% Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.

Care & Fair

We are proud to be part of the organization CARE & FAIR. Their mission is to improve the living conditions of carpet weavers in India and their families through education and health

Care & Fair

Maintenance

  • To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
  • Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
  • If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
  • You may notice some shedding on your rug - this is completely normal and a sign of its high-quality natural fibres. The shedding will gradually lessen over time and does not affect the rug’s quality or lifespan. Regular hoovering with gentle suction and occasional brushing will help manage loose fibres and keep your rug looking beautiful for years to come.
  • Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

  • For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
  • Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
  • As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
  • Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
  • Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Care instructions

Do this
  • Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
  • We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
  • For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
Avoid this
  • Do not wash
  • Do not bleach.
  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Do not iron.
