Handloom Frame - A Soft Foundation for Calm Rooms

Bring gentle warmth and tactile depth to your floor with this handloom wool rug featuring a grounding border.
Step onto a plush surface that brings natural warmth and quiet comfort to your living space.
Crafted from 100 percent wool, this rug offers a soft, tactile experience underfoot while naturally helping to absorb sound in busy rooms.
Designed to suit modern living, this piece is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems, allowing warmth to pass through evenly.
The natural wool fibres help regulate indoor comfort while offering durability for everyday home life.
Produced in India with a focus on skilled craftsmanship, this rug reflects traditional methods adapted for contemporary homes.
It meets OEKO-TEX standards for safety and is certified by Care and Fair to support better working and living conditions for weavers.
The dense wool construction provides a reliable foundation that holds its shape well over time.
Routine vacuuming and occasional professional care will keep the pile looking fresh and feeling soft for years to come.

Design

The visual composition centres on a calm central field framed by a distinct darker border that adds definition to the layout.
The subtle tonal shift between the main section and the border creates a balanced, understated look that anchors furniture arrangements without overwhelming the room.
Rendered in a soft pink hue, this design brings a gentle and welcoming atmosphere to interior spaces.
It pairs naturally with wood furniture and neutral textiles, creating a cosy mood in bedrooms or sitting areas.
This rug is carefully handloomed by skilled artisans who spend days guiding the wool threads onto the loom.
The handloom technique requires a precise touch to achieve an even pile height and a consistent density across the entire surface.
Creating a piece of this scale involves significant human effort and careful coordination of materials.
The sturdy cotton warp provides a stable foundation while the thick wool pile is carefully packed to ensure lasting resilience.
Every stage of the craft process relies on experienced hands rather than automated machinery.
This dedication to traditional methods results in a considered home textile with a unique character and dependable build quality.

80% Wool

Wool is a fantastic natural fibre with many benefits, it is durable and hard-wearing, which means that a rug made from wool can be used for several generations and maintain its quality. They are an excellent choice for keeping your rooms warm during the cold winter months and can reduce noise from everyday life. The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.

20% Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.

Care & Fair

We are proud to be part of the organization CARE & FAIR. Their mission is to improve the living conditions of carpet weavers in India and their families through education and health

Care & Fair

Maintenance

  • To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
  • Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
  • If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
  • You may notice some shedding on your rug - this is completely normal and a sign of its high-quality natural fibres. The shedding will gradually lessen over time and does not affect the rug’s quality or lifespan. Regular hoovering with gentle suction and occasional brushing will help manage loose fibres and keep your rug looking beautiful for years to come.
  • Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

  • For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
  • Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
  • As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
  • Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
  • Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Care instructions

Do this
  • Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
  • We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
  • For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
Avoid this
  • Do not wash
  • Do not bleach.
  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Do not iron.
