Frida Color - A Serene Foundation for Your Home

Bring a sense of calm to your living space with this beautifully textured, hand-woven jute rug in a refreshing teal hue.
The Frida Color rug offers a tactile and grounding experience, crafted from natural jute fibres that bring an earthy warmth to any room. Its robust construction ensures durability, making it a reliable choice for high-traffic areas of your home where you want to add both comfort and character.
This rug is designed with versatility in mind, providing an excellent foundation for various interior styles. Its natural texture helps to soften the acoustics of a space, creating a quieter and more restful atmosphere, while the soft teal tone adds a subtle splash of colour that feels both contemporary and inviting.
For your convenience, this piece is fully compatible with underfloor heating, allowing you to enjoy the natural feel of the fibres without sacrificing warmth during cooler months. It is an ideal choice for those who appreciate natural materials and want to create a cosy, lived-in feel throughout their living areas.
As a part of the Rugvista collection, this rug represents a commitment to quality and thoughtful design. It brings a touch of artisan charm into your home, ensuring that your living space feels personal, welcoming, and carefully curated.

Design

The design of this rug is centred on simplicity and the natural beauty of its material. The monochromatic teal palette highlights the intricate, organic weave, creating a subtle visual depth that complements rather than dominates a room.
With its clean, rectangular form, the rug offers a balanced and structured look. The focus remains on the interplay between the light-reflecting fibres and the rich, cool tones, making it an easy addition to any space in need of a calm, cohesive anchor.
Each Frida Color rug is carefully hand-woven by skilled artisans in India. This traditional craft involves a slow, deliberate process where individual jute fibres are meticulously interlaced, resulting in a unique and sturdy surface that reflects the time and human effort invested in its creation.
The hand-woven technique allows for a natural variation in the texture, which is a hallmark of authentic craftsmanship. Completing a rug of this size requires significant dedication and expertise, as artisans work to ensure the weave is consistent and the edges are finished with precision and care.
By choosing a hand-woven piece, you are supporting long-standing traditions of textile artistry. The focus remains on the quality of the finish and the integrity of the material, ensuring that the final product is not only beautiful to look at but also built to withstand the demands of daily life.

90% Jute

Jute is a natural material that consists of a long, soft and shiny plant fibre that can be spun into coarse and strong threads. Jute rugs are known for their natural texture, which makes them durable and highly resistant to wear and tear. They also have a higher sound insulation effect than for example synthetic rugs. Jute rugs are a sustainable option since they can be recycled and are biodegradable. The material is sensitive to moisture, therefore jute rugs should only be used indoors or outdoors under a roof.

10% Polyester

Polyester is a popular synthetic fibre used in the textile industry thanks to its durability, lightness, and resistance to stains and moisture. Polyester rugs are typically durable, making them suitable for high-traffic areas. They have a nice sheen that gives a luxurious and soft impression to the room.

Care & Fair

We are proud to be part of the organization CARE & FAIR. Their mission is to improve the living conditions of carpet weavers in India and their families through education and health

Care & Fair

Maintenance

  • To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
  • Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
  • If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
  • Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

  • Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
  • As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
  • Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
  • The rug can bleach or change colour if exposed to direct sunlight; therefore, it is important to avoid placing the rugs in direct sunlight.
  • The rugs are sensitive to moisture, therefore they should only be used indoors or outdoors under a roof.
  • We recommend using an anti-slip mat with this rug, as color migration may occur onto light-colored floors.
  • Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Care instructions

Do this
  • Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
  • For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
Avoid this
  • Do not wash
  • Do not bleach.
  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Do not iron.
  • Do not dry clean.
