Design

The design features a clean, horizontal striped pattern that creates a sense of order and calm. The interplay between the yellow and light yellow tones offers a gentle contrast that feels bright and welcoming without overwhelming your space.

With its classic aesthetic, this rug serves as a versatile anchor for your furniture. The simplicity of the stripes allows it to blend seamlessly into various settings, enhancing the room with a touch of understated elegance.

This rug is carefully hand woven by skilled artisans in India, a process that requires significant time and focused attention to detail. By hand-weaving the wool, our makers ensure a consistent and durable finish that machine-made alternatives cannot replicate. This slow, manual approach highlights the human skill involved in creating each unique piece.

The creation of this rug involves a labour-intensive process where the wool is woven onto a sturdy cotton foundation. Artisans work with a steady rhythm to maintain the tension and alignment of the stripes, a task that requires years of experience to master. This dedication to craft results in a textile that possesses a natural character and authentic feel.

Because each rug is made by hand, it carries the marks of human effort and expertise. The time invested in the weaving process ensures that the final product is not only visually balanced but also structurally sound. Investing in this piece means supporting traditional skills and bringing a genuine, handcrafted item into your living environment.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
We recommend using an anti-slip mat with this rug, as color migration may occur onto light-colored floors.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Do this

Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
