Cadiz - A touch of comfort for your daily routine

Bring soft, tactile comfort to your home with the Cadiz bath mat, a thoughtfully designed piece that combines natural materials with a warm, inviting palette.

The Cadiz bath mat offers a soft and welcoming feel underfoot, making it a perfect addition to your daily rituals. Crafted from cotton, this mat provides natural warmth and comfort, ensuring a gentle landing every time you step out of the shower or bath.

Beyond its comfort, this piece is highly practical for modern homes. It is fully compatible with underfloor heating, allowing you to enjoy a warm floor throughout the day. Its durable construction is designed to withstand frequent use, providing a reliable and cosy foundation in your bathroom.

Keeping your home clean is simple with this rug, as it is conveniently washable. You can easily maintain its fresh appearance and texture, ensuring it remains a staple in your space for a long time to come. This ease of care makes it an ideal choice for busy households seeking both style and functionality.

Rooted in the tradition of Indian craftsmanship, the Cadiz reflects a commitment to quality and thoughtful design. Every detail is considered, resulting in a piece that feels both premium and approachable, bringing a sense of calm and order to your personal sanctuary.

Design

The design of this mat features a bold geometric arrangement, utilising a balanced colour palette of beige, terracotta, and black. The clean lines and contrasting shapes create a contemporary look that feels both structured and warm.

The interplay of these organic and sharp forms adds visual interest without overwhelming your space. Its intentional composition makes it a versatile accent that complements a wide variety of modern bathroom interiors.

Each Cadiz bath mat is created using the table tufted technique, a precise and skilful process. Artisans work with great care to ensure every loop is consistent, resulting in a uniform pile that feels soft and luxurious to the touch.

This method requires a high level of human skill and patience, as each mat is crafted individually rather than through mass production. By focusing on the manual assembly of the fibres, the makers ensure a level of detail that brings a unique character to every finished piece.

The time and effort invested in this hand-tufted construction speak to the quality of the mat. By relying on traditional expertise, the process creates a finished product that is not only beautiful but also durable enough to handle the daily demands of your home environment.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
For best results and a longer-lasting rug, we recommend shaking the rug instead of hoovering. If needed, hoover carefully using gentle suction to avoid stressing the pile.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
To maintain the quality of your rug, avoid leaving it damp for a long time without ensuring that it dries completely. This will help protect both the rug and the surface beneath.
Rug suitable for use with underfloor heating (max. 27°C).
You may notice some shedding on your rug - this is completely normal and a sign of its high-quality natural fibres. The shedding will gradually lessen over time and does not affect the rug’s quality or lifespan. Regular hoovering with gentle suction and occasional brushing will help manage loose fibres and keep your rug looking beautiful for years to come.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Washing instructions

Do this

Machine wash up to 30°C.
Wash separately.
Use a gentle wash cycle with a maximum spin speed of 600 rpm.
Tumble dry on low setting
Reshape the rug while damp.
Make sure the rug is completely dry before placing it back on the floor.
Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
We recommend washing this product in a laundry bag.

Avoid this

Do not bleach.
Do not iron.
Do not dry clean.

Good to know

Note that some fibres may be shed during washing.

General guidelines for washing machine and rug sizes

The rug's suitability for machine washing depends on several factors:

Washing machine drum capacity: If the rug is too large for the machine, we recommend washing it by hand or using a professional rug cleaning service.

Washing machine filter: Ensure that your machine's filter is emptied before washing the rug to prevent clogging. Additionally, check the filter after washing to maintain the machine in optimal condition.

It is important to check your machine's filters after washing your rug to ensure your machine is kept in the best possible condition.

Drum size / Rug length / diameter
6 kg, / <120 cm / 120 cm
9 kg / <140 cm / 140 cm
13 kg / < 160 cm / 160 cm
Professional / >180 cm / 180 cm

Important notes: These guidelines are general and may not apply to all rugs or washing machines. Always exercise caution when machine washing a rug, as drum capacities and rug sizes might not be fully compatible.
