Design

The design of this runner centres on a harmonious blend of light and dark green tones that evoke a natural, earthy aesthetic. The simple, clean lines are complemented by the tactile quality of the weave, creating a look that is both modern and grounded.

Finished with a classic fringe, the runner offers an organic feel that softens the edges of a room. The minimalist colour palette allows the natural texture of the wool to take centre stage, making it an easy piece to style in any interior.

Each Alesso runner is carefully hand woven by skilled artisans in India. This labour-intensive process requires significant time and precision, as every thread is placed by hand to create a consistent and durable weave that machine-made alternatives simply cannot replicate.

The creation of this runner involves a deep level of human craftsmanship, with artisans dedicating hours to ensure the structure is both tight and flexible. By working with natural materials, the weavers imbue each piece with a subtle character that showcases the beauty of the manual process.

The scale of effort invested in this runner is evident in the uniform tension of the weave and the attention given to the fringe details. This dedication to traditional craft ensures that you receive a product that is not only visually appealing but also built to withstand the demands of everyday use.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Avoid hoovering directly over the fringes, as the suction and brushes can catch the threads and cause damage.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
We recommend using an anti-slip mat with this rug, as color migration may occur onto light-colored floors.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Cleaning instructions

Do this

Spot clean only.
Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.

Avoid this

Do not wash
Do not bleach.
Do not tumble dry.
Do not iron.
