Zack - A Natural Touch of Calm

Bring a sense of calm to your home with this hand woven runner, featuring a striking geometric pattern in natural beige and blue tones.

The Zack runner offers a tactile and grounding presence in any hallway or narrow living space. Crafted from Jute, this rug provides a sturdy and natural feel underfoot, bringing the beauty of organic materials into your home. Its woven construction creates a textured surface that is both durable and welcoming, making it an excellent choice for high-traffic areas.

Designed with versatility in mind, this runner is fully reversible, allowing you to extend its life and refresh your space with a simple flip. It is also compatible with underfloor heating, ensuring that your home remains comfortable and cosy even during the colder months. The combination of natural fibres and thoughtful design makes it a practical addition to your interior.

Originating from India, this piece reflects a tradition of skilled craft where every thread is carefully placed. The hand woven technique ensures that each runner has its own unique character, offering a level of authenticity that mass-produced items cannot replicate. You will appreciate the subtle variations that confirm the human touch behind its creation.

This runner is designed to sit flat and provide a stable base, enhancing the look of your floors while remaining easy to care for. Its low-profile nature makes it a subtle yet impactful element in your decor, perfectly balancing style with everyday functionality. By choosing this piece, you are bringing a considered and natural aesthetic into your living environment.

Design

The design features a bold geometric pattern that creates a rhythmic visual flow along the length of the runner. The interplay between the natural, earthy tones of the Jute and the vibrant blue accents adds a modern edge to a classic rustic aesthetic.

Clean lines and triangles form a repetitive motif that draws the eye, making this runner an ideal focal point for narrow spaces. The balance between the warm base and the cool blue creates a harmonious contrast that feels both fresh and inviting.

This runner is carefully hand woven by skilled artisans in India. The process involves a traditional loom where the Jute and cotton fibres are interlaced by hand to create the final piece. This labour-intensive method requires precision and patience to ensure the tension and pattern remain consistent throughout the entire length of the runner.

Creating a piece of this size requires significant time and focus, with artisans dedicating hours to ensure the weave is tight and even. This human effort is what gives the rug its durability and distinct textured appearance. By supporting hand woven crafts, you are helping to preserve traditional skills while receiving a product that has been made with genuine care and attention.

The combination of materials is selected for both strength and flexibility, resulting in a robust structure that holds its shape well over time. Because it is handmade, each runner carries the hallmark of the person who crafted it, making it a unique feature in your home. This level of craftsmanship ensures that you are investing in a piece built to last.

90% Jute

Jute is a natural material that consists of a long, soft and shiny plant fibre that can be spun into coarse and strong threads. Jute rugs are known for their natural texture, which makes them durable and highly resistant to wear and tear. They also have a higher sound insulation effect than for example synthetic rugs. Jute rugs are a sustainable option since they can be recycled and are biodegradable. The material is sensitive to moisture, therefore jute rugs should only be used indoors or outdoors under a roof.

10% Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
The rug can bleach or change colour if exposed to direct sunlight; therefore, it is important to avoid placing the rugs in direct sunlight.
The rugs are sensitive to moisture, therefore they should only be used indoors or outdoors under a roof.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Care instructions

Do this

Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
