Quito - A Soft Touch for Your Home

Bring a touch of refined elegance to your living space with this beautifully textured hand-knotted rug, designed to offer a soft and welcoming feel underfoot.

Experience the gentle texture and warmth of the Quito rug, a premium addition to any room that invites you to relax. The soft pile creates a comfortable surface, making it an ideal choice for living areas or bedrooms where a cosy atmosphere is desired.

This rug is carefully crafted using Silk for the pile and weft, combined with a sturdy Cotton foundation. This combination of natural materials ensures a soft sheen and a luxurious feel that adds character to your home interior.

With its hand-knotted construction, this rug offers impressive durability and a refined finish. The dense knotting process allows for precise pattern work and ensures that the rug maintains its beauty and structure over many years of use.

Designed with practicality in mind, this piece is fully compatible with underfloor heating, allowing you to enjoy both comfort and warmth. It serves as a reliable and stylish centrepiece that brings a sense of calm and quality to your daily life.

Design

The design of this rug features a harmonious blend of light blue, brown, and golden tones, arranged in a balanced, rhythmic layout. Its aesthetic draws inspiration from traditional tribal motifs, reinterpreted with a clean and modern sensibility that fits easily into many different home styles.

The intricate patterns provide a subtle visual depth, while the soft colour palette ensures the rug feels light and airy. It is a considered piece that adds interest to a room without overwhelming the existing decor.

The Quito rug is created through a traditional hand-knotted process, a technique that requires immense patience and skill. Artisans spend weeks carefully tying each individual knot by hand, ensuring that every detail is captured with precision and care.

This labour-intensive method is what makes each rug unique. By choosing this piece, you are supporting a time-honoured craft that prioritises human expertise over mass production, resulting in a floor covering that feels truly personal and well-made.

Because of the complexity involved in hand-knotting, this rug represents a significant investment in quality. The dedication required to complete such a project ensures that the final result is not only beautiful but also built to withstand the demands of a busy home.

80% Silk

Silk is an exclusive natural fibre that provides a soft and shiny feeling to rugs. The material can also be used to enhance details in wool rugs and in some, silk can make up the entire pile and sometimes even the warp. Elegant rugs with rich details can only be made with silk because other fibres are too thick for this purpose. Silk is a durable and hard-wearing fibre that lasts a long time and becomes more beautiful over time. Due to its sensitivity to liquids, it is advisable to refrain from positioning the rug in areas where there is a high likelihood of moisture or potential spills.

20% Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.
