The Nikki rug offers a tactile and grounding experience, crafted from natural jute that brings an organic feel to any room. Its round shape adds a soft, welcoming touch to your interior, while the natural fibres provide a durable foundation for your daily life.

Designed with versatility in mind, this rug is fully compatible with underfloor heating, ensuring your home remains cosy and comfortable throughout the cooler months. The printed mandala design introduces a subtle decorative element that complements a wide range of styles without overwhelming your space.

As a product of skilled craftsmanship from India, this piece reflects a commitment to quality and thoughtful design. The natural jute material is chosen for its strength and sustainability, making it a reliable choice for high-traffic areas of your home.

Enjoy the balance of rustic texture and elegant detailing that this rug provides. It is a straightforward, practical, and stylish addition to your living space that invites a sense of calm and natural beauty into your everyday environment.

Design

The design features an intricate mandala print in a soft gold tone, layered over a neutral beige jute background. This combination of organic texture and delicate pattern creates a balanced, artistic look that feels both grounded and refined.

With its circular silhouette, the rug serves as a soft focal point in a room, drawing the eye toward the centre of the pattern. The contrast between the natural fibre and the printed motif adds depth and character to your floor.

The Nikki rug is carefully hand woven by skilled artisans in India, a process that requires both time and precision. Each rug is constructed by hand, ensuring that the natural jute fibres are tightly interlaced to create a firm and long-lasting surface.

Creating a piece of this size involves a significant amount of human effort and attention to detail. Artisans spend several days meticulously working on the weave to achieve the uniform texture and structural integrity that defines this piece, highlighting the value of traditional techniques in a modern home.

100% Jute

Jute is a natural material that consists of a long, soft and shiny plant fibre that can be spun into coarse and strong threads. Jute rugs are known for their natural texture, which makes them durable and highly resistant to wear and tear. They also have a higher sound insulation effect than for example synthetic rugs. Jute rugs are a sustainable option since they can be recycled and are biodegradable. The material is sensitive to moisture, therefore jute rugs should only be used indoors or outdoors under a roof.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
The rug can bleach or change colour if exposed to direct sunlight; therefore, it is important to avoid placing the rugs in direct sunlight.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Do this

Spot clean only.
Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
