You can feel confident in your choice, knowing that this rug brings both beauty and a human touch to your home.

Design

The design of the Märta rug centres on a sophisticated geometric pattern that plays with a harmonious blue palette. The intricate motifs are balanced by softer, neutral tones, creating a visual depth that feels both grounded and contemporary.

With its clean lines and rhythmic layout, this rug serves as a subtle focal point that complements a wide range of decor styles. The thoughtful distribution of colour ensures that it adds character to a room without overwhelming your existing furnishings.

The Märta rug is carefully hand-knotted by skilled artisans in India. This labour-intensive technique involves tying individual knots onto the foundation, a process that requires immense precision and patience. Because every knot is placed by hand, no two rugs are exactly alike, resulting in a unique piece that carries the mark of its maker.

Creating a rug of this quality takes a significant amount of time and dedicated effort. Depending on the size, it can take several weeks or even months for an artisan to complete a single piece. This commitment to traditional craft is what gives the rug its distinct texture and long-lasting durability.

The combination of wool pile and a sturdy cotton foundation ensures the rug holds its shape while remaining soft. By supporting these time-honoured techniques, you are helping to preserve a rich heritage of textile artistry while bringing a genuine, handcrafted element into your own space.

The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean.
