Kazak rugs have a storied history originating from the Caucasus region, where they were traditionally crafted by nomadic tribes. Today, the tradition has evolved significantly, with some of the most impressive modern examples being woven in Afghanistan. These rugs continue to draw inspiration from their historical roots, adapting ancient techniques to contemporary living.

The term Ariana refers to a specific, high-quality style of weaving that emphasises a soft, lustrous finish and a more refined aesthetic. This approach honours the traditional techniques of the past while ensuring the final product meets the high standards of modern collectors who value both beauty and functional longevity.

Visually, these rugs are defined by their bold, geometric motifs and stylised medallions. The patterns are often arranged in a formal, balanced layout that commands attention without overwhelming a room. The use of natural, earthy tones paired with vibrant accents is a hallmark of the tradition, creating a visual language that feels both historical and fresh.

Owning a Kazak Ariana is an investment in human skill and cultural heritage. These rugs are highly valued by collectors because they represent a living tradition, where every rug serves as a canvas for the weaver's personal expression and technical mastery. By choosing this piece, you are preserving a craft that connects the modern home to centuries of artistic development.

This rug is meticulously hand-knotted, a process that requires immense skill and dedication. With 250.000 knots per m2, our artisans spend months working on a single piece to ensure the highest level of pattern clarity and pile density. This high knot density translates into a more durable, luxurious surface that holds its shape and detail over time.

The effort invested in this 14 kg piece is evident in every strand of the wool. By manually tying each knot, the weaver ensures a level of structural integrity that machines simply cannot replicate, resulting in a robust and long-lasting rug that stands as a testament to traditional craft.
