The Kalpana runner brings a sense of calm and character to narrow spaces like hallways or entryways. The natural fibres used in its construction ensure a soft yet resilient feel that stands up to daily life while maintaining its inviting charm.

As part of our Rugvista Premium collection, this piece represents a high standard of craftsmanship. Every element has been considered to ensure the rug not only looks beautiful but also offers lasting durability. The thoughtful selection of materials provides a balanced texture that is pleasant to walk upon, adding a layer of softness to your floors.

Designed with modern living in mind, this runner is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems. This makes it an ideal choice for creating a cosy atmosphere throughout the cooler months. Whether placed in a long hallway or beside a bed, it provides a stable and comfortable foundation that enhances the overall feel of your room.

We take pride in the origin of our rugs, and this piece is hand-woven by skilled artisans in India. By choosing this runner, you are supporting traditional techniques that have been refined over generations. The result is a unique home accessory that combines authentic craftsmanship with a clean, contemporary aesthetic.

Design

The design features a repeating geometric pattern that draws inspiration from traditional tribal aesthetics. Soft pink tones form the background, punctuated by accents of blue and earthy shades that add depth and visual interest.

Framed by a decorative border, the runner maintains a balanced look that feels both structured and organic. The interplay of colours creates a playful yet sophisticated vibe, making it easy to integrate into a variety of home interiors.

This runner is meticulously hand-woven, a process that requires patience and a steady hand. Skilled artisans spend significant time carefully interlacing the threads to create a consistent and durable structure. Because each rug is made by hand, it carries the unique touch of its maker, ensuring that your runner is a one-of-a-kind piece.

The creation of this piece involves a labour-intensive technique that simply cannot be replicated by machines. Artisans work with focus and precision to maintain the integrity of the design and the tension of the weave. This dedication to the craft is what gives the runner its premium quality and ensures it remains a valued part of your home for years to come.

90% Wool

Wool is a fantastic natural fibre with many benefits, it is durable and hard-wearing, which means that a rug made from wool can be used for several generations and maintain its quality. They are an excellent choice for keeping your rooms warm during the cold winter months and can reduce noise from everyday life. The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.

10% Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Avoid hoovering directly over the fringes, as the suction and brushes can catch the threads and cause damage.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Care instructions

Do this

Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
To clean the fringes, use a soft brush to get the debris out.

Avoid this

Do not wash
Do not bleach.
Do not tumble dry.
Do not iron.
