Frida - A Natural Foundation for Your Room

Bring organic warmth to your home with the Frida rug, crafted from natural jute with a tactile braided design.

The Frida rug brings a calm, grounding presence to your living space with its natural jute fibres.

It feels robust underfoot while adding a tactile layer that softens hard flooring.

Crafted from jute, this piece brings natural texture into your home.

The fibres create a warm and inviting surface that is suited for daily living.

Designed for modern homes, this rug is compatible with underfloor heating systems, allowing warmth to pass through freely so your room stays cosy during cooler months.

Originating from India, this piece is crafted with traditional skills passed down through generations, ensuring a dependable addition to your interior.

Design

The Frida rug features a series of concentric rectangular frames created through braided rows of natural fibres.

This geometric arrangement draws the eye inward, creating a subtle sense of depth and structure on the floor.

The natural beige colour palette highlights the organic tones of the plant fibres, offering subtle tonal variations.

This understated look suits rustic and earthy interiors, bringing a relaxed and grounded atmosphere to living rooms or bedrooms.

The Frida rug is hand-woven by skilled artisans in India, using traditional techniques that require patience and precision.

Crafting a piece of this size takes several days of steady human effort at the loom.

Because it is made by hand, each rug carries subtle individual character in the weave.

Artisans carefully manage the tension of the natural fibres to create a stable, flat surface that holds its shape well over time.

90% Jute

Jute is a natural material that consists of a long, soft and shiny plant fibre that can be spun into coarse and strong threads. Jute rugs are known for their natural texture, which makes them durable and highly resistant to wear and tear. They also have a higher sound insulation effect than for example synthetic rugs. Jute rugs are a sustainable option since they can be recycled and are biodegradable. The material is sensitive to moisture, therefore jute rugs should only be used indoors or outdoors under a roof.

10% Polyester

Polyester is a popular synthetic fibre used in the textile industry thanks to its durability, lightness, and resistance to stains and moisture. Polyester rugs are typically durable, making them suitable for high-traffic areas. They have a nice sheen that gives a luxurious and soft impression to the room.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
The rug can bleach or change colour if exposed to direct sunlight; therefore, it is important to avoid placing the rugs in direct sunlight.
The rugs are sensitive to moisture, therefore they should only be used indoors or outdoors under a roof.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Care instructions

Do this

Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
