The term 90 Line refers to a traditional method of measuring the fineness of the knotting in Chinese rug production. This specific classification signifies a balanced density that allows for both intricate detail and a soft, comfortable pile. It represents a commitment to maintaining the classic standards of the craft, ensuring the final product is both visually appealing and highly durable.

Signature elements of this style include a focus on central medallions, framed by ornate floral borders. The use of soft, pastel tones is a hallmark of this tradition, designed to evoke a sense of tranquillity and balance. The interplay between the structured border and the organic floral elements creates a sense of harmony that is characteristic of the regional style.

Owning a hand-knotted rug from this tradition is about more than just floor decor; it is about connecting with a rich heritage of skill and artistic expression. These pieces are highly valued by collectors for their ability to bring a sense of history and refined beauty into a home. By acquiring this rug, you are preserving a craft tradition that has been passed down through generations of dedicated artisans.

This rug is created through a painstaking hand-knotted process, where each individual knot is tied by a skilled artisan. This method requires immense focus and patience, as the weaver carefully follows the intricate floral pattern to ensure every curve and detail is accurately represented in the final piece.

The quality of this rug is evidenced by its construction, which balances a substantial 2.7 kg weight with a thoughtful design. This density is a direct result of the hours of labour invested by the maker, ensuring that the rug maintains its shape and beauty even with daily use in your home.
