Bring gentle warmth and heritage style to your hallway with this one-of-a-kind handmade runner from Pakistan.

Step onto the reassuring comfort of this 100% wool runner, thoughtfully crafted to bring both softness and dependable durability to busy corridors and living spaces.

At 12 mm thick, the plush pile provides a cushioned feel underfoot while naturally absorbing sound to create a quieter and more peaceful home environment.

The soothing green field serves as a calm backdrop for the orderly rows of traditional gul motifs, bringing a sense of grounded structure and balance to your interior.

Every line and detail has been carefully knotted to deliver a tactile surface that invites bare feet and feels comforting day after day.

Because this runner is genuinely one of a kind, no other home will have this exact combination of colour, nuance, and character.

Woven by hand in Pakistan, it carries the distinctive provenance of a long-standing craft tradition that honours patience and skill.

Owning this unique piece means welcoming a genuine item of enduring quality into your daily life.

It is an investment in authenticity that will continue to soften and look even better with time.

Bokhara rugs take their design roots from the ancient Silk Road city of Bukhara in Central Asia, where nomadic tribes wove geometric patterns into portable floor coverings.

Over generations, the tradition migrated southward and found a thriving home in Pakistan, where skilled artisans embraced and refined the intricate knotting techniques.

This runner features a 2ply construction, meaning the pile yarn is spun using two distinct strands of wool twisted together before knotting.

This technique produces a significantly denser, more lustrous, and harder-wearing surface compared to single-ply alternatives, ensuring the rug stands up to daily wear while keeping its soft touch.

The visual language of this rug is defined by the repeating gul motifs, which are octagonal medallions arranged in neat rows across the field.

While traditional Bokhara rugs are most commonly woven in rich reds, this particular piece features an unconventional green field that offers a fresh, calming twist on a classic design.

Collecting rugs from this lineage means preserving a craft passed down through families for centuries.

It represents a tangible connection to human artistry and cultural heritage, offering your home a story that mass-produced alternatives simply cannot replicate.

This runner is entirely handmade using a traditional hand-knotted technique that demands extraordinary patience and skill from the artisan.

Each individual wool knot is tied tightly by hand to the foundation, resulting in a dense pile and remarkable structural integrity.

With a density of 250,000 knots per m2 and a total size of 296 x 77 cm, this piece contains approximately 569,000 hand-tied knots.

Creating a rug of this density and scale represents many weeks of focused daily labour by a skilled weaver.

This high knot count is what gives the pattern its crisp definition and ensures the pile remains upright and resilient under everyday foot traffic.

The substantial weight of 5.7 kg further underlines the dense construction and generous amount of natural material invested in making this runner.
