A 100 x 150 cm rug measures approximately 3’3″ x 4’11” (about 3.3 x 4.9 feet). It sits within our small rugs range, covering everything under 160 cm on the longest side.

A 100 x 150 rug works well beside a single bed, in a short hallway or entryway, under a small kitchen table, or anchoring an armchair and side table in a reading corner. It’s a popular choice for kids’ rooms too. It’s too small to anchor a full living room seating area – for that, a medium or large rug will serve you better.

On its own, not for a full seating area – at this size it will sit under a single chair or side table rather than pull a sofa and coffee table together. It works well as an accent piece in a smaller living room or reading nook. If you want something to anchor a sofa, 160 x 230 cm rugs are a good place to start.

Wool is the most durable and naturally stain-resistant, and keeps a bedroom or reading corner warm underfoot. Cotton designs are lighter, easier to move and often a popular choice for those looking for a washable 100 x 150 rug. Hand-knotted 100 x 150 rugs are the most hard-wearing of all and make a good long-term choice for a hallway or entryway that sees daily use.
