6 tips to decorate with
Christmas tree rugs

Christmas tree rugs add style and functionality to your home and help to enhance the star of the show — the tree itself! But, knowing how to decorate with a Christmas tree rug isn’t always easy. We’ve put together six tips to help you get started!

1. Choose a classic round

Round Christmas tree rugs are a timeless classic in holiday home decor. Their circular shape echoes the natural symmetry of a Christmas tree, creating a harmonious and visually pleasing focal point. Their circular design makes them a perfect fit for any tree, regardless of its size or shape. Additionally, round Christmas tree mats are available in a wide range of materials, patterns, and colours, allowing you to tailor your choice to match your overall decor scheme.

2. Go for a practical rug

Pine needles, spilled drinks, and cookie crumbs are just a few of the potential hazards that can threaten the area under your tree. This is where washable Christmas tree rugs come to the rescue. They’re typically made from durable, stain-resistant materials that can withstand the rigours of the holiday season. When accidents happen — and they inevitably will — simply toss these rugs into the washing machine for a quick and easy clean-up.

3.Keep a natural look

For those who appreciate a touch of rustic charm in their holiday decor, Jute Christmas tree rugs are an excellent choice. Jute is a natural fibre known for its durability and eco-friendly qualities, making it a sustainable option for your Christmas tree mat. Their earthy texture and neutral tones complement a wide range of decorating styles, from traditional to farmhouse and everything in between.

4. Add traditional patterns

Transform your Christmas tree with a mat adorned with charming snowflakes, classic Christmas trees, and timeless pine garland motifs. These rustic varieties not only transport you to a winter wonderland, but they’ll also protect your floors and infuse your space with the cosy spirit of Christmas. Their durability ensures that your holiday season remains both stylish and stress-free, allowing you to focus on making lasting memories with family and friends.

5. Embrace modern patterns

Captivating diagonals on a round rug will add a contemporary twist to your Christmas tree and overall home decor, transforming your space into a modern holiday haven. These dynamic patterns draw the eye, creating a stylish contrast that complements traditional seasonal elements. The interplay of bold lines and curves invites a sense of movement and energy into your living area, making it the perfect backdrop for your holiday celebrations.

6. Create a holiday palette

Create a customised holiday setting that reflects your personal taste and style. Whether you’re aiming for a traditional, modern, rustic, or eclectic look, the versatile palette of red, beige, brown and black Christmas tree mats allows you to set the stage for a festive holiday season. With this wide range of colours at your disposal, you can mix and match, layer, or coordinate to achieve the ambiance you desire.
